Is Airlock compatible with tethering?
In current versions, Airlock works by periodically opening and closing a connection to your iPhone in order to measure the signal quality. Airlock does this under the assumption that it is the sole user of the Bluetooth connection and therefore Airlock is not currently compatible with tethering. That is, opening a tethered connection to your iPhone while Airlock is running results in the Bluetooth connection being closed at some point soon after.
Tethering support has been a popular feature request and we plan to investigate its inclusion in a future version of Airlock. With that said, we have not yet looked into whether Apple's Bluetooth APIs offer the functionality necessary to have Airlock and tethering coexist.
