Hi,

Is it possible to add profiles based on GPS/Router locations? This would be useful to have different lock searches as home vs. work. At home, I'd like it to stay unlocked for a longer time. At work, I'd like to get it to lock within 30 seconds. At some other locations within 5. This is more of a luxury and not a must-have feature, but it will be a cool little feature.

Thanks,
Kian

p.s. It can check to see which router you're connected to OR what's your GPS location. I believe Snow Leopard has location APIs for that.

    Hey Kian,

    Thanks for your feedback!

One of our goals with Airlock is to keep it lightweight, while also making it extensible. Several other users have suggested a profile feature/Airlock scriptability, which is certainly something we're interested in implementing. With that said, because many location-sensing applications already exist, the profile feature that we implement probably won't be able to switch profiles automatically, but rather will leave that to a third party application, or the user.

Here are some applications that could handle the profile-swtching based on location:

    1. NetworkLocation
    2. MarcoPolo
    3. Locomatic
    4. Location X

Once a profile feature is implemented in Airlock, one could use one of these applications to switch Airlock's profile, based on the current location. Would that fulfill your needs?

    Hi David,

Yes, that'd be wonderful. I didn't know about any of these other apps. I'm all for not having to reinvent the wheel.

Looking forward to the profile feature.

    Thanks,
    Kian
