I have the same Problem. But my Ipad is recognized so i still can use Airlock. So please update Airlock so that it can be used in the classic way...

Same deal here. Cant connect. I think this have something to do with the new iOS 4.0.1 and 4.1. Loads of BT problems there :-(

Hi there, Same here. New iPhone 4. Not being detected. Tried the i4 build still no dice.

I will give them 14 days to give an announcement of their progress and intentions or I will be demanding a refund.

I understand there can be bugs but its only good business to keep your customers in the loop.

b0b, I'm happy to wait for the fix - I'd just like to know where the project is at.
I can Private Message you my bank details if you like and you can transfer the refund that way - but if you feel like your close to a fix than im happy to wait a bit longer.

I just updated Airlock to 1.5 beta 1 and it doesn't recognize my iPhone 4 as well. If I use the special build for iPhone 4, it works but It also drops my bluetooth mouse.

I have a MacBookPro2,1 OSX 10.6.4 and an iPhone 4. I haven't had any syncing problems at al. The only slightly odd thing i've noticed is that if the phone has been asleep for a while I need to wake up the phone (just hitting the button) before it gets recognized and unlocks the screen. Not a big deal for me as hitting a button on the iPhone is still a heckuva lot easier than a full login.

Glad I tried the trial too. This is a neat concept but I have the latest MBP 17" and an iPhone 4 on 4.0.1. Airlock does not recognize my phone.

Just a quick note for folks:

I just tried the demo, and it works fine with my iPhone 4. I am running the 4.2 GM seed on my iPhone 4 at the moment. If you are still having issues, I'd expect they'd be resolved in the next week or so when Apple should be releasing the 4.2 firmware to everyone, not just developers.

Not sure it is strictly an iPhone 4 issue. I have an iPhone 4. Worked so great with my mini in demo mode, I bought two licenses. Bummed out to find that it is not working with my MacBook Pro. The oddest part to me is that MBP can find the phone in the configuration, but it does not see that it is in range.

Great, I guess I should have tried the demo first. I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1. Airlock will NOT pair the devices. Please fix.......................

    Hi all,

I apologize for the long delay in resolving this issue; please visit this announcement for information regarding the past and future of Airlock.

To this post I've attached a version of Airlock that removes all restrictions on devices with which Airlock can be configured. (Other than that, this is the same version posted on the main site.) As such, this version should show iPhone 4s in the device-selection sheet, along with any other Bluetooth devices near your computer (including other computers, headsets, etc.)

Please note that if your iPhone does appear in the initial select sheet, but never appears as in-range (Chris, I believe this describes your situation), then this is likely a separate issue. I'm currently sorting through the various issues that have come up over the past months to determine what distinct problems have cropped up and how to fix them.

I don't own an iPhone 4 yet so unfortunately I haven't been able to test Airlock with it. If possible I'd appreciate it if those of you with the new iPhone could share your results. I wouldn't expect the iPhone 4 to behave much differently than the 3GS regarding cooperation with Airlock, but of course Apple ultimately has control and could change the functionality at any time.

Regarding several of your refund requests: I'm more than happy to issue refunds to whomever is dissatisfied with Airlock. My payment processor PayPal only allows refunds to be issued within 60 days of the purchase date though, so if it's been longer than that I can either (1) send $7.77 to your PayPal account, or (2) mail you a check. To anyone that's mentioned a refund, I will be contacting you individually to determine the best method to carry it out.

    Thanks,

    David

Hi David - this is now working on my MBP 6,1 (Core i7) + iPhone4 iOS 4.0.1 (8A306) (Jailbroken too). Really cool tool. Also - I don't think you need to respond to everyone every day (don't become inseparable from your work) but even if you don't have a solution to a problem, simply touching base with the support forum will keep the vast majority of people happy with your product :). Communication is king even if you have no news. Good luck with this great little endeavor.

Oh! I can say mine is jailbroken now? I have iOS 4.1 jailbroken, not 4.01 - any suggestions? DB says, "This is now working", so... it wasn't working? What did DB do?

I hope its not a stupid question, but how do I test? I can assume its working when I walk away and come back to my desk but, I would like to see it work. I turn off bluetooth and nothing happens. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Ok everything works and I'm impressed. I just left my phone in someone's office and walked back to my desk and my laptop was locked. I picked my phone up from the office and walked back again to my desk and the laptop was unlocked. I'd have to say it works as intended. Thanks again David! Best $7.77 I've ever spent ;]

Patch is not working for me either.

    iPhone4
    Model: MC610LL;
    Firmware: 02.10.04
    Version: 4.1 (8B117)

MacBook Pro 15" 2.53Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
    OS: 10.6.4

Strangest part was my initial experience with the demo on my mini was great, but now that there is a license code on it, it no longer works either.

The patch was initially working for me but it's kind of hit-or-miss now (mostly miss). The application finds my phone, but the range finder doesn't detect it. MBP 6,1 (Core i7), iOS 4.0.1. What really frustrates me now is the limited trial period with the patch worked fine and I was very impressed and excited, but now that it expired and I purchased and registered the application, it isn't working.
